PHOTOGNOME ROAST….SOLD OUT!!! (but there are ways you can still get in!)

With two days remaining we have SOLD OUT the CON*tourage PHOTOGNOME ROAST!

We’ve been warning everyone that selling out was a good possibility so with that we are no longer offering Regular tickets for pre-purchase online to the CON*tourage PhotoGnome Roast. But, if you REALLY want to be a part of this exciting and one-of-a-kind event, happening THIS Saturday, April 2nd, 2011 here are a few ways you can still get access:

1.) VOLUNTEER TO HELP: We’ll be setting up for the event, starting at noon on Saturday. If you can donate your time to set up (or tear down) that can gain you access to the event. We also need people to help “man” different stations during the actual event…so you could volunteer to help with that if you can’t help with set-up/decorating or tear-down. Email us at contourage@gmail.com if you are interested in volunteering.

2.) HOPE FOR NO-SHOWS OR EXTRA SPOTS: If you want to brave it, come to the venue and see if someone has an extra “ticket/spot” or see if someone doesn’t show up. Worth a try…especially if you really want to come to this killer event!

3.) BECOME A ‘VIP ROASTER’: Being a ‘VIP Roaster’, you’ll be one of the lucky ones that can actually sit on the dais comfortably and ROAST the man, the myth, the legend…PhotoGnome! Being a ‘VIP Roaster’ ($50 online, $60 at door) you’ll get a personalized framed PhotoGnome Roaster certificate, a full buffet with option for early arrival (i.e. first crack at buffet and booze), 2 complimentary beer tickets for Guinness draft (which will also be available for $2 a glass till it runs dry), a free/commemorative PhotoGnome pint glass (to be picked up at Roast), and two (2) CON*tourage VIP passes for future CON*tourage parties. PhotoGnome Roast Venue & Hotel Map

With the CON*tourage PhotoGnome Roast just a few weeks away, it’s time to start making travel arrangements for those of you coming in from out-of-town or who might live a little too far away for a drive home after enjoying GUINNESS and Gnome Hunch Punch.

The PhotoGnome Roast will be hosted at ‘Dune Lounge’ (2030 Powers Ferry Rd., SE, Suite 440, Marietta, GA 30067), which is a new establishment being operated by the mighty Thandor, founder of the infamous BOOZEPACK party group. The hotel picked by event organizers is the Extended Stay Deluxe Hotel, with rooms available for as low as $61 (via Hotels.com), located only 0.8 miles from the PhotoGnome Roast location. NOTE: Google Maps will give you a wrong location if you type in the Dune Lounge address so make sure to note the correct location on the map above. CON NOOGA was a great Success…now on to THE ROAST!

First thing, Mark (aka Bama Spyder) and I want to thank all who helped out at CON NOOGA this year, we couldn’t have done anything without you! We love all of our crew! Thanks to all who attended, we hope you all had a blast! We returned from being beaten by the Pirates a year previous and have reigned SUPREME! The trophy was given by CON NOOGA chairman Todd Patton himself who personally congratulated us on the official win. People are going to tell tales of our ’80s ROCK PARTY for years and for many of us, it will be a night we will never forget. Next year we will return trumphant and host a most excellent celebration party, so mentally book yourself now!

Now on to the festivities at hand. The PhotoGnome ROAST of the Century! This event is shaping up extremely well. Tons of support for PhotoGnome has propelled this event into the stratosphere!  We have recently enlisted the services of the mighty THANDOR (of Boozepack fame) who now owns and operates an estabishment named Dune Lounge, located  at 2030 Powers Ferry Rd. SE, Suite 440, Marietta, GA  that we will be using to host the Roast. Thandor, as some of you might remember, beat us out of the party battles at Frolicon 2009 with his Pimps and Hoes’ Party. Now we join forces for this event spectacular.

To add to the excitement, The Big Leneski and his crew of misfits host an hour long talk show about general geek-culture, most of them with very special interviews! They’ll be promoting the PhotoGnome ROAST every Sunday night & also be at the event to record live, do interviews & be a media partner! Afterward polishing it up, they’ll post it online for all to enjoy.

The infamous and witty DJ NEMESIS will be taking helm as the PhotoGnome ROAST MASTER.

We are also very excited to have some great sponsors on board that will help make this event extra special, including Girls of the Con, Three Muses Clothing, CON-voluted, Play On Con, DriveThruRPG.com, SKW Productions, Quad @ Spring4th Complex and Dune Lounge. Needing to book a hotel for your stay during the PHOTOGNOME ROAST? We have decided to recommend the Extended Stay Deluxe Atlanta – Marietta (2010 Powers Ferry Rd NW, Atlanta, GA, 30339) which is priced at $61 but you NEED to book via www.Hotels.com to get the good deal. This is a great location as it’s just down the street from the Roast location (0.8 miles away). It’s where all of us cool kids will be staying!
