CON*tourage is again opening up it’s 3-balcony exclusive suite in the HYATT REGENCY, a host hotel, during Dragon*Con 2012, looking for a few fun people to partake in what is set to be a weekend of most EPIC proportions. We did this last year and received some great entries and met some truly wonderful people when it was all said and done.
If you are still looking for a place to stay for Dragon*Con (or are staying too far away and want to be in the middle of it all), this just might be for you! However, if you are just looking for a place to crash and aren’t a people person, then this isn’t what you are looking for. Staying in the CON*tourage Suite will be an experience in itself so this is much more than just a space to put your suitcase and sleep.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO…
…are 21+.
…won’t have childen in tow.
…are DRAMA FREE!!
…LOVE a good party atmosphere.
…are trustworthy and out-going.
…can pay $260 TOTAL per person for Thursday-Monday (must pre-pay by August 1st, 2012).
…are not douchebags as CON*tourage events/parties are deemed douchebag free zones.
…won’t expect to be able to sleep till at least 4 a.m. each night.
…like being around creative, friendly, chatty folk.
…are OK with lending a helping hand with party set-up, if the need arises.
…aren’t just looking for a place to crash but a unique, fun atmosphere to experience.
…are either male or female (it’s a mixed suite).
…either 1…2…or a 3 people. If you are just looking for yourself, great. If you have a 1 to 2 more people with you, that’s fine also.
…are OK with crashing on the floor (everyone provides their own air mattress or bedding, etc.)
….won’t have alot of equipment/boxes/suitcases. Although we are all costumers, we can’t take on people who have lots and lots of “baggage” (literally).
BY STAYING IN THE CON*TOURAGE SUITE YOU’LL…
…have access to a kick-a$$, 3-balcony suite, complete with kitchenette, in the HYATT REGENCY.
…have your own room key.
…not have to worry about sleeping next to someone’s smelly feet. The suite is very large and we aren’t going to pack it to it’s limits.
…have VIP access to CON*tourage’s MEET & GREET, two late-night parties and Sunday’s late-morning PANCAKE CHOWDOWN. Complete info. on all of that can be found at www.CON-tourage.com/dcon2012
…meet some wickedly friendly and creative CON*tourage folk and experience first-hand what it takes to host such aweseome, fun parties (did we say don’t expect to get to sleep before 4 a.m.?)
…be able to pay $260 TOTAL per person (for Thursday-Monday). Must submit full payment by August 1st, 2012 (required)
…be able to catch up on your sleep during the day if need be. Although this is a “party suite” during the day it’s pretty laid back with others catching power naps and just hanging out (in other words, there won’t be parties going on in the C*T suite 24/7)
…have your personal items placed in our safe and secure/locked adjourning bedroom during the parties.
HOW TO ENTER
(Deadline for entering is July 20th, 11:59 p.m. EDT)
With today’s technology everyone has access to a video camera…via cell phones, digital cameras, laptops, etc. With that being said, send us a YouTube video telling us why YOU (or your small group) want to stay in the CON*tourage Suite. We are not talking about some high-production video here people so don’t start sweating it. Keep it simple and to the point. NOTE: We will not post these videos to the general public. If you want to that’s your option but from our end we won’t make entries public. Don’t be shy…if you don’t enter, you can’t win the spot(s).
If you want to enter and share a short video message with us, this is what we’ll be looking for and how/where to post:
— Tell us a little bit about yourself. Please don’t include your last name in the video, first name will be enough.
— Tell us where you live (city/state where you live)
— Tell us what you plan on doing at Dragon*Con 2012, why you enjoy it, etc. (gaming, costuming, walking around lost…you get the drift).
— IMPORTANT: Tell us why you want to stay in the CON*tourage Suite and why you think you’d be a good fit.
— Say as much or as little as you want. A suggested time limit would be 30 seconds to a minute in length. If you want to be creative in your video that’s up to you! Say as much or as little as you want.
– COUPLES/GROUPS: If you are part of a group or couple share the same info. about the other person(s). If you are a “couple” (dating) say that, if you are married, if you are just friends (i.e. what your relationship is) and how long you have been a couple, etc. – BE HONEST. Please note that if you are part of a “couple” (dating or married) we DO NOT tolerate any drama. Ideally we’d also like to see/meet the other people in your couple/group in the same video (if possible). However we know that some of you live apart but do your best to at least share their info. (above) in the video.
— As we said, we aren’t looking for high production quality or even editing (although you can if you want).
— Upload your video to YouTube. Once you upload it, send the URL to contourage@gmail.com – if you don’t want the video to be “public” make sure to de-select that option (which basically means you can’t see the video unless you have the URL – not available in search engines or browsing). From our end we will not be publishing the URLs for others to see. We will only share within our group and after selections have been made you can delete the video if you want (that’s up to you).
