On Saturday of April Fool’s weekend, 2011 – throw on a COSTUME, participate in our two KILLER CONTESTS, chow down on a FULL BUFFET, enjoy MUSIC & the vibe, SOCIALIZE, and raise a commemorative PINT GLASS filled with “Gnome Hunch Punch”, Guinness Draft or some other tasty beverage – as we ROAST the hell out of one of our own, the infamous PhotoGnome! He was banned from Music Television ‘cause you could see his junk, through his jumpsuit. He’s tried every drug known to man, or in this case, clown. He recently caught headlines due to a stint in rehab. Since being released, rumors have swirled of a possible reunion with his old band ‘Zazz Blammymatazz.’

And now, on Saturday, Dec. 11th, 2010, Dr. Rockzo, the rock n’ roll clown, has decided to invade Birmingham’s dirty little secret, ‘THE NICK,’ for one crazy night of ROCK U LIVE KARAOKE. What Rockzo does after ‘The Nick’ is everyone’s guess….

…so snap on the studs, do up the hair, slide on the leather, pull on a rock tee & flash devil horns for a night like Birmingham’s never seen! Add in special guest Dr. Rockzo,the washed-up, strung-out rock n’ roll clown — his friends from CON*tourage (who have promised to bring along some of their iconic rocker friends (Axl Rose, Ozzy Osbourne, Dee Snider, Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Blackie Lawless) and a legendary night at ‘Birmingham’s dirty little secret’ starts to take shape. (costumed look-alikes, for sure)

ROCK U LIVE KARAOKE, Birmingham’s hardest rockin’ live karaoke band, can crank out well over 80 songs and it’s up to fans in the audience to be their lead singer. ROCK U, founded in 2008, is known for playing songs ranging from AC/DC, KISS, Poison, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Van Halen, and Guns N’ Roses to Weezer, Journey, Green Day and Alanis Morissette (plus many more bands).

Although ROCK U LIVE KARAOKE performs a few times a month, CON*tourage & Dr. Rockzo crashing their party isn’t be a regular thing…at least they hope not!

PRIZES will also be given out for best live karaoke performances.

**BIG ANNOUNCEMENT** After much deliberation, we have chosen the first-ever “CON*tourage Roast” recipient. Who, you may ask, could this be?? We aren’t letting that meat out of the bag quite yet, but we CAN tell you that this not-to-miss event party will be like NO OTHER you’ve ever attended and sure to be talked about for years to come!! We have tentatively set the date of this fun-as-all-get-out event for Saturday of April Fool’s weekend, 2011, with the venue already secured.

4 weeks past, we’ve now gotten 1,400+ photos from our CON*tourage 2010 Dragon*Con events posted on FLICKR.  All of our shindigs were a GREAT success and we thank everyone so much who attended and contributed for making them such kicka$$ times.

Thursday night’s MEET & GREET, Friday night’s HEAVY METAL PARTY, Saturday night’s HERO VS. VILLAIN PARTY and Sunday’s PANCAKE CHOWDOWN (a new late-morning event for C*T that drew well over 100 people) were all well documented, so check them out by clicking HERE. …and with that, we’re sad to say that Dragon*Con 2010 has ended and ‘Con Depression’ has set in. It’s inevitable…you look forward to an event like Dragon*Con for so long and before you know it….BAM….it’s over with.

We are super-stoked to report that all of our CON*tourage events went over extremely well, without any major snags. We met SO MANY great new fans this year, as well as touching base with old friends, too. We look forward to partying with many of you in 2011…so stay tuned for our 2011 CON*tourage TOUR SCHEDULE which we’ll release in the near future!

Ok kiddies…we are all checked in and ready to have an amazing time at Dragon*Con 2010!

If you plan on coming to our PANCAKE CHOWDOWN on Sunday, we will be hosting it in Room/Suite # 1935 in the Hyatt Regency. This is the same location we will be hosting our TWO late-night parties…but you’ll need a PARTY PASS to gain access. And for those of you wondering…the Hyatt lobby is back up and operational….so no worries about the renovations that started on Monday of this week!

Here are final details on our PANCAKE CHOWDOWN and 2 LATE-NIGHT PARTIES (Heavy Metal Party II and Hero vs Villain Party) at Dragon*Con 2010! Check back here on THURSDAY (Sept. 2nd) where we’ll post the location of the PANCAKE CHOWDOWN, once we check into the Hyatt Regency.

CON*tourage events for Dragon*Con 2010!

When/Where to pick up PARTY PASSES to CON*tourage’s exclusive parties at Dragon*Con 2010!!

Dragon*Con is right around the corner and if you plan on attending either/both of our late-night parties, a PARTY PASS is required in order to get by door security. In addition to having a PARTY PASS, you’ll also need to bring a photo I.D. as both parties are 21+ ONLY.

VIP/Regular Party Passes required for entry!

Those of you who have already reserved a VIP PARTY PASS (with a set donation) will need to pick them up, and many more of you will need to secure a REGULAR PARTY PASS, if you want access to our TWO late-night parties during Dragon*Con 2010. Both passes will be good for BOTH parties (in other words, there are not different passes for each party).

The main difference between a VIP and Regular Party Pass is that VIP Party Pass holders get access to our parties one hour early, giving them access to Party Hunch-Punch, as well as getting them in the door before the parties fill up. (FYI, all VIP Party Passes are ALL GONE, so please do not send in any more monetary donations. Any future VIP donations will be refunded due to this.)

Location of the parties in the Hyatt Regency will be hand-written on ALL Party Passes. DJ Nemesis (who will be DJing the must-attend D*Con Saturday night DRAGON DANCE) and DJ Spider will be rockin’ both parties…read about all of that HERE.

• FRIDAY NIGHT: Heavy Metal Party II (Midnight – 3 a.m., VIPs enter 11 p.m.)

• SATURDAY NIGHT: Hero Vs Villain Party (11 p.m.–2 a.m., VIPs enter 10 p.m.)

Partiers are allowed to bring their own adult beverage to our parties. Although we will have Party Hunch Punch BOTH nights, it will eventually run out. We also ask that you bring a container that has a lid.

All the info. you need to pick up an already-reserved VIP Party Pass or snag a Regular Party Pass is below:

THURSDAY: (Sept. 2nd) 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. in the Hyatt Regency PARASOL BAR. Come see old friends and make new ones during the CON*tourage “Meet & Greet!” Due to high demand, only ONE Regular Party Pass per person. VIP Party Pass holders can also pick up reserved passes. Look for a CON*tourage sign if you have a hard time locating us. For more info on the CON*tourage Meet & Greet, click HERE.

• FRIDAY: (Sept. 3rd) 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. outside of the Hyatt Regency Grand Hall (where the Art Show/Artist Alley will be located). Visit the GIRLS OF THE CON fan table to pick up reserved VIP Passes. Want to snag a Regular Party Pass? With the purchase of each 2011 “Girls of the Con Calendar,” people can receive a Regular Party Pass. Need two Regular Party Passes? Purchase two GoTC 2011 Calendars. Calendars are $15 each (or two for $25). If you purchase a calendar(s), you MUST ask to receive a Regular Party Pass (in other words, due to the limited number of Party Passes, not every calendar purchased will be accompanied by a Party Pass unless asked for. No reason to give party passes out to people who may not use them). Want more info. on “Girls of the Con”? Visit their website. • FRIDAY: (Sept. 3rd) 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in the Marriott Marquis PULSE BAR. Come find Axl Rose, Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper, or Dr. Rockzo (the Rock n’ Roll Clown). One, some, or all may be there…just keep your eyes open! VIP Party Pass holders can pick up their reserved passes and Regular Party Pass seekers can snag one, if any are still available (only ONE Regular Party Pass per person).

NOTE: We have a limited amount of Regular Party Passes (just like we had a limited amount of VIP Party Passes) so there is a high possibility that we WILL run out.
